Are your habits within your control? The answer is a definite YES!

The phrase you will see at the bottom of every post I write is… “Your Habits Control Your Life – But You Control Your Habits.”

I want you to keep those words firmly in your mind. I remind myself everyday of those ten words and I would like you to do the same. The more you repeat them the more you will believe it to be a fact.

Have you ever stopped to think about your habits and the impact they might be having on any particular aspect of your life? They could be affecting you happiness, your health, your wealth, perhaps all three.

Or do you just take your habits for granted and believe they are part of your character and can’t be changed? I hope not!

I have met many people who, when questioned about some particular habit that they exhibit, come back with the unbelievable reply – “I have always done it and I’m too old to change now.”

Your not someone like that are you?

It doesn’t matter whether you are young – or not so young – well documented research that has been published since the late 90’s proves that your brain has the capacity to change and develop new habits throughout you life – age is no restriction.

At the risk of repeating myself I want to tell you once more that you DO control your habits and once you start to recognise your habits then you are in a position to change them permanently – if you have a desire to change and believe you can change.

Your habits are what allows you to do many things on auto-pilot and some say are responsible for controlling 90% – I believe much nearer to 100% – of your everyday activities.

Habits can be identified in so many areas…..

Wherever you are in life with, your business, you career, your financial status, your relationships, your health, your habits have a major part to play.

And once you accept this as a fact then you will start to identify your habits in particular areas. And armed with the information you then have the opportunity to change your habits and in the process change your life.

It doesn’t matter whether you are exactly where you want to be in life or perhaps still striving to get your life in good order, it’s your habits that have been the main cause of that situation – both good or bad.

But now we come to the really exciting news. Your habits can be changed a lot quicker than you may initially think.

The other aspect you will need to blend together with the knowledge that habits can be changed is to change your mindset to one of true belief that you can change any habit that you set your mind to.

Research – and not just by me – has shown that your habits can either work for you or against you – help or hinder.

Isn’t it worth developing habits that will help you on your journey of life?
